Exception

The Exception field lets users insert a code that represents an explanation. When a user clicks the Exception field, a drop-down menu displays a list of options. The options come from the Exceptions module.

The Exception field is visible on these pages:

Item Inventory > Inventory Detail

• Inventory Adjust, Relocate, Change Status

Inventory By Location > Inventory Detail

• Inventory Adjust, Relocate, Change Status

Creating tags

To create an exception tag:

1. Go to Home >Settings > Exceptions.

2. Click the plus icon. The Create Exception window displays.

In the new window:

1. Enter a code name and description.

2. Click the Type field and select an option.

3. Click Save.

Verify

Open the appropriate module (Adjust Inventory in this example) and check the Exception drop-down menu. In this example, Damage appears on the menu.

Editing and deleting codes

To update a code name, description, or type, select a row and click the Edit icon. Click the Delete icon to remove an exception code.
