Sequences

Sequences allow DVU users to enable custom numbering on various types of documents, such as work orders.

Enabling auto-generated order numbers is a two-step process: 

• create a sequence with a tag

• apply the tag on a template page

Creating a sequence

1. Go to Home > Settings > Sequences.

2. Click the plus icon to create a new sequence.

In the popup window:

1. Enter a unique sequence tag (e.g. WO for work order).

2. Enter a value (e.g. 1).

3. Click the Type field and select User Defined.

4. Click Save.

Applying the tag

In this example, the DVU user applies the sequence on a Work Order page.

1. Check the box to enable Auto Generate Work Order Number.

2. Enter the work order sequence code (from the above sequence step).

3. Click Save.

Test the sequence

Go to the Works Orders page and create two test orders. DVU auto-generates a unique order number for each work order in sequence.
