Assign a Storage Location

This article shows DVU users how to assign a storage location to a specific account. Location assignment is a required setting for some platform features, such as putaway.

Assigning a location

1. Open the Storage Locations module (Home > Warehouse).

2. Select a row on the main page with the required storage location. Do not open the location record.

3. Click the ellipsis in the toolbar.

4. Select Assign to Account.

In the popup window:

1. Select an account.

2. Click Save.

Verifying the location

To confirm an account assignment:

1. Open the Storage Locations By Account module (Home > Warehouse).

2. Click the search icon and set the search filters.

The page automatically displays the storage locations with location assignments. In the screenshot below, the DVU user assigned one location to two accounts.

Removing an account assignment

To remove the account assigned to a storage location:

1. Go to the Storage Locations By Account module.

2. Select a storage location on the main page.

3. Click the delete icon in the toolbar.

4. Click OK in the confirmation popup window.
