Adding terms
In the side panel:
-
Select a warehouse.
-
Add a storage location group. (optional).

Select By Lot or Sublot (the default setting) or by UPC. (optional, see below)
By Lot, Sublot, or UPC
Fill in these fields if Lot (e.g. size) and Sublot (e.g. color), or UPC are used at the item level. If the Item Code has all the required information, then leave these fields blank.
Click here to learn about UPC codes on the platform.
In the panel’s Replenishment section:

Check the boxes for Enabled and Automatic.
-
Enter values for the three fields. (see below)
-
Click Save.
DVU adds the rule to the table. Select a row and then click an icon in the toolbar to edit, duplicate, or delete a rule.
Values
Threshold quantity is the number of items in the pickable location. Threshold quantity is a condition that must be true to create a work order but not the trigger. The actual trigger (the event that causes the system to auto-generate a replenishment work order) is the quantity in the next shipping order pick ticket. When the quantity in the pickable location is equal to or less than the threshold quantity, DVU generates a replenishment work when a DVU user generates a new shipping order pick ticket.
Currently, the system logic works like this.
-
If a DVU user generates a new pick ticket when the threshold number is true (e.g. the threshold quantity is 9, and there are 9 items in the pickable location), the system automatically triggers a replenishment work order.
Replenishment order quantity is the number of items to be relocated (from the non-pickable location to the pickable location) with each replenishment work order.
Replenishment maximum quantity indicates the maximum number of items that can be relocated to the pickable location. Often, the maximum number is defined by the dimension or weight limits of the pickable location. Generally, use the same number as the value in the Rep Order QTY field.
Note It is not necessary to specify the non-pickable location. As long as the inventory sits somewhere in the warehouse in a non-pickable storage location, the system can locate the product and identify that location in the replenishment work order.
