Use this UI tool to relocate all or a portion of the inventory from one location to another location.

Moving inventory

Open the Inventory Detail page.

Select an item.

Click the Relocate icon. A side panel displays.
Relocating some inventory
Use this option to move a portion of the inventory from its current location to a new location.

In the side panel, click the Relocate tab.

Select the status of the inventory to be moved. The default is Available.

Enter a quantity and new location.

Enter a new LPN for the relocated inventory. (optional)

Click the Exception field and select an option. (optional)

Add a note. (optional)

Click Save.

Adding relocation details
DVU splits the original inventory into two groups and adjusts the quantity in the original location.
In the above screenshot, the user relocates 45 eaches (from a total of 86 eaches) to a new location and creates a new LPN (QQQ-555).
The screenshot below shows the results. The original location (RACK-2) has a lower inventory quantity (86-45=41 eaches). There is a new line entry with a different location (DOOR2) that holds the relocated inventory (45 eaches) with a new LPN (QQQ-555).
Relocating an LPN
Use this option to move an entire LPN to a new location.

On the side panel, click the Relocate Entire LPN tab.

Enter a new location.

Click Save.
Verify
Go to the Inventory by Location page. Locate the row with the new location and LPN.
In the screenshot below, the table shows the correct quantity (13 eaches) and LPN (YYZ123) in the new location (RACK 3).
