Edit Inventory Detail

Use this UI tool to add or update item-level details. DVU users can adjust unit weight and quantity. It is not possible to change inventory status, location, or LPN with this tool.

Editing all items

Follow these steps to edit all items in a line entry.

1. Open the Inventory Detail page.

2. Select an item and click the Edit icon. A side panel displays.

In the side panel:

1. Adjust the unit weight. (optional)

2. Change the status. (optional)

3. Leave the default quantity (which is all).

4. Add a note. (optional)

5. Click Save.

Verify

Go to the Inventory Detail table and locate the item line entry. In this example, the table row shows the new unit weight and updated total weight for all items.

Editing some items

Follow these steps to edit some of the items in a line entry. The output of this workflow is a new line entry in the Inventory Detail table. 

1. Open the Inventory Detail page.

2. Select an item and click the Edit icon. A side panel displays.

In the side panel:

1. Change the status. (optional)

2. Adjust the unit weight.

3. Change the quantity.

4. Click Save.

Verify

Go to the Inventory Detail table. The table adds a row for the edited inventory and adjusts data in the original row.

In this example, the table row shows the original row with a revised quantity (45 - 10 = 35 eaches) and the original unit weight (19 lbs). The new row shows the edited quantity (10 eaches) and new unit weight (27 lbs). Both rows have the same LPN.
