In a previous article, DVU users learned how to create Account charge codes and assign them to a warehouse activity (i.e. receiving, shipping, and work orders).
This article builds on that knowledge. DVU users learn how to enable transportation charge codes for shipment/loads and pending quotes in the TMS environment.

Assigning a TMS charge code
Step 1 Create
To create an Account charge code for the TMS environment, DVU users must select one of two types: Flat Rate or Per Hour. The other charge code types (e.g. Per Kit or Per UOM) do not work in the TMS.
-
Open an Account page and create a charge code in the left column. Learn more.
-
Go to the Assign Codes heading at the top of the page.
-
Click the field.
-
Select Transportation.
Note DVU users must select Transportation. The other activity types do not work in the TMS environment.
Step 2 Assign
Select a charge code in the left column.
-
Click the Assign (green arrow) button. DVU copies the code to the column on the right.
-
Click Save Partner.
-
Repeat the steps to create and assign other Account charge codes.
Viewing charges in the TMS
After a DVU user creates and assigns an Account charge code, Davinci updates all related shipping/load and pending quote pages with the same account. To view the results and enter values, open a shipment/load or pending quote and click Charge Codes on the side menu.
In the example below, the Charge Codes page displays two codes, including a liftgate rate of $250.
The default quantity in the Apply / Qty field is zero. DVU users must enter a value manually.
Next steps
Davinci automatically adds TMS charge codes to an account invoice. To view these charges, generate an invoice by changing the job status to Schedule Post.
