Add a Driver

To add a driver to the DVU platform:

1. Go to Home > Settings > Security > Drivers.

2. Click the plus icon to create a new record.

3. Make sure the box is checked to enable the driver on the platform. (see below)

4. Fill in the required fields.

5. Fill in other fields as needed.

6. Add a Truck ID. (optional, see below)

7. Add a Pay Configuration. (Learn more.)

8. Click Save.

Enabled checkbox

When the DVU user checks the Enabled box, the driver can log in to the DVU platform. In addition, DVU users can select that driver for shipments/loads and pending quotes in the TMS environment (depending on user license).

If a DVU user unchecks the Enabled box, the driver cannot log in to the platform (if the driver is already logged in, DVU automatically logs out that driver). Plus, DVU users cannot select that driver for shipments/loads or pending quotes.

Truck ID

Click the drop-down menu and select a truck ID on the drop-down menu. If an ID is not on the menu, click the plus icon to create an ID for the driver.

Create a Truck ID

This is an optional step. Fill in the required fields to connect a truck to a driver. The Status field updates dynamically when a DVU user assigns the driver to a shipment/load or pending quote.

Adding driver details

Scroll down the side menu and click a link to add driver details.

• General Properties - Set the drive type (employee or owner/operator).

• Mailing Address - Add contact information.

• License - Enter expiration, class, and state.

• Insurance - Enter provider, account, and phone number.
