There are three ways to configure driver pay for a shipment/load in the TMS environment.
Note Access to the TMS environment requires a license. Contact DVU support for details.
-
On the Pay Configuration page of the Driver page (explained in this article).
-
On a Rate Tariffs table.
-
On the Commodities page (Shipments > General > Advanced > Commodities).
Setting pay configuration on the Driver page
-
Go to Home > Settings > Security > Drivers.
-
Click an existing driver name (or add a new one).
-
Click the Pay Configuration field and select an option.
-
Click Save.
Subtract % From Rated Bill
If the DVU user selects the Percentage of Tariff option, the popup window displays the Subtract % From Rated Bill field. The value in this field allocates a percentage of the gross tariff (excludes FSC) to the company (e.g. to cover overhead). The platform then allocates the remaining tariff between the driver and the company based on the value in the Percentage of Tariff field.
Here is an example using the values in the screenshot below. Assuming a gross tariff is $5000, the company gets $1000 off the top ($5000 x 20% Subtract % From Rated Bill). The driver gets 60% of the remaining tariff, which is $2400 ($4000 x 60%) plus 60% of the FSC.
Managing payment records
