Hazmat Overview

Hazmat is an abbreviation for hazardous material. There are nine classes of hazardous materials, and each product type has a unique four-digit UN number. For example, the number for lithium ion batteries is UN 3480.

Creating a code

1. Go to Home > Settings > Hazmat.

2. Click the plus icon to create a code.

In the popup window:

1. Enter a unique code (typically the UN number).

2. Enter the UN number. (optional)

3. Enter a description. (optional)

4. Click Save.
