Hazmat codes are enabled at the item level. These codes are used for reporting purposes and are featured on receiving or shipping orders.
There are two ways to enable a hazmat code on an item: when creating a new item or editing a field on an existing item.
Creating an item
While creating a new item:

Scroll down to the Codes section of the Properties page.

Click the arrow and select an existing code.

Complete the workflow.
Optionally, DVU users can create a new code on the page.

Click the plus
icon.

Fill in the fields.

Click Save.
Editing an item
Add a hazmat code to an existing item.

Go to Home > Warehouse > Items/SKUs.

Locate an item and click the Edit icon.

On the Properties page, scroll down to the Codes section.

Click the arrow and select an existing code or create a new code. (see above)

Click Save.
