Adding a Hazmat Code

Hazmat codes are enabled at the item level. These codes are used for reporting purposes and are featured on receiving or shipping orders.

There are two ways to enable a hazmat code on an item: when creating a new item or editing a field on an existing item.

Creating an item

While creating a new item:

1. Scroll down to the Codes section of the Properties page.

2. Click the arrow and select an existing code.

3. Complete the workflow.

Optionally, DVU users can create a new code on the page.

1. Click the plus icon.

2. Fill in the fields.

3. Click Save.

Editing an item

Add a hazmat code to an existing item.

1. Go to Home > Warehouse > Items/SKUs.

2. Locate an item and click the Edit icon.

3. On the Properties page, scroll down to the Codes section.

4. Click the arrow and select an existing code or create a new code. (see above)

5. Click Save.
