DVU users can create a charge code to assign a fee to an account for inventory or equipment storage. Select one of three fee types.
Note DVU supports different rates per warehouse/terminal. Very few systems offer this feature.
Creating a charge code

Go to Home > Business Partners > Accounts.

Open an account (or create a new account).

Click Storage Charges on the side menu. A new window displays.

Click the plus
icon. A popup window displays.
On the popup window:

Enter a code description.

Click the Type field and select an option (e.g. case, LPN, location, etc.).

Enter a GL code. (optional)

Enter a minimum fee. (optional)

Click the Per field and select an option. (see below)

Complete the Billing Schedule or Range fields. (see below)

Enter a class. (optional, see note)

Click Save.
Note Class refers to the Storage Class identifier (from the Storage Class field on the Storage Location template). If needed, DVU users can create unique charge codes based on storage class.
Billing Schedule or Range
Depending on the select Type option, the form displays a Billing Schedule or a Range From and Range to option.
Billing Schedule
The Billing Schedule field (required is displayed) has three options.
Flat Rate
A basic fee for selected storage type.
Quantity Schedule
Use this option to create tiers of fees based on the quantity of stored material (e.g LPNs).

Click the plus
icon to create a row.

Enter values for the quantity ranges and a rate.

Repeat the steps to add tiers.

Click the Delete icon to remove a tier.

Click Save.
Aging Schedule
Use this option to create tiers of fees based on time.

Click the plus
icon to create a row.

Enter values for the day ranges and a rate.
-
Repeat the steps to add tiers.

Click the Delete icon to remove a tier.

Click Save.
Range
Specify a rate for a range. The unit of measurement attached to the range depends on the Type and Per selection.
