Use this mapping feature to automatically generate one or more labels when a shipping order is cartonized. DVU users can generate any of these documents:
-
small parcel label
-
carton contents label
-
UCC 128 (shipping) label
Note This workflow does not use a cartonization rule to sort items based on attributes (e.g. item code or lot code). Click here to learn how to apply a cartonization rule.
Workflow
Mapping labels is a four steps process:
-
Create a mapping code on the Mapping Attributes page.
-
Map and upload the report template on the Document Mapping page.
-
Add the code to the shipping order.
-
Cartonize the shipping order to trigger label printing.
Mapping attributes
The first step is to create a mapping code.
-
Go to Home > Business Partners > Accounts.
-
Open an account (or create a new account).
-
Click Attribute Mapping on the side menu. A new page displays.
To create a mapping code:
-
Click the top field and select Order Mapping Code on the drop-down menu.
-
Enter a unique code for this printing task.
-
Click the next field and choose a label (e.g. Print UCC128 Label).
-
Click the next field and select Enable.
-
Click the plus
icon to add the mapping to the page.
Note None of the options in the drop-down menu below Print UCC128 Label (e.g. Shipping Order Rule 1, Shipping Order Rule 2, etc.) are currently available.
Managing codes
DVU adds the code to the table on the page. Repeat the steps to add a code for Print Carton Contents and Print Small Parcel Label. Click Save Partner to keep the codes.
To remove a code, select a table row and then click the Delete button.
