Open an account and go to the General Properties page (Home > Business Partners > Accounts).
Use the setting on this page to configure key settings for the account.
Advanced Properties
Metrics Mode

Click the field and select Imperial or Metric units of measurement for the account.
UPC Lookup Mode

Click the field and select SKU or UPC.
Only Send Emails on Closed Status

If enabled, the platform sends a notification to users when a shipping order closes.
Inventory Allocation

Click the field and select Automatic. When set to Automatic, the platform automatically reserves inventory when a DVU user creates a WMS shipping order.

Manual allocation requires barcode scanning to be enabled on the account.
Note Manual allocation is a required setting for several platform tools like cartonization and replenishment. It is also required when setting a primary pick location for an item.
