Selecting a primary pick location for an item is one step that enables several tools, including cartonization and replenishment.
DVU users can select a primary pick location when editing an existing item template or creating a new item.
Before you start
To enable a primary pick location, verify two account-level settings:

Set Inventory Allocation on the General Properties page to Manual.

Set the Allocation Mode on the Inventory page to Primary Pick 1, Primary Pick 2, or Forward Picking.
Editing an existing item

Go to Home > Warehouse > Items/SKUs.

Locate an item and select the row.

Click the Edit icon.

On the next page, click Storage on the side menu.

Verify the Primary Pick Locations tab is selected.
Selecting a location
To select a primary pick location:

Click the plus
icon.

Select an existing storage location (or click the plus
icon and create a new one).

Click Save.

Repeat the steps to add multiple locations. (optional)
DVU adds the location(s) to the table.
Creating a new item
DVU users can add one or more primary pick locations when creating a new item.

Start the Create Item workflow.

Go to the Storage step.

Add a primary pick location (see above Selecting a location).
-
Complete the workflow and click Save to create the item.
