Small Parcel (Shipping Orders)

This article shows DVU users how to prepare a small parcel on the Shipping Orders template.

When completing a shipping order, confirm:

• The carrier is available on the Service Type drop-down menu (Shipping Orders > Small Parcel). Click to learn how to add a carrier.

• The Ship to address is an actual physical address verified on Google Maps.

Picking the order

1. Open a shipping order (or create a shipping order) and set the status to In Process.

2. Go to the warehouse floor and pick the order.

3. Open the shipping order on DVU.

4. Click Small Parcel on the side menu.

Creating a small parcel

On the new page:

1. Expand the Properties tab.

2. Click the Service Type field and select an option.

3. Click the plus icon to create a parcel.

Go to the panel on the right side of the screen:

1. Fill in the required fields.

2. Enter additional information. (optional)

3. Click Save (or Save and new to create a new parcel).

When the side panel closes, go to the top right corner and click Save. DVU generates a UCC128 number for each parcel.

Labels

Click the print icon. DVU generates a label with a tracking number. It also auto-fills the Tracking ID and price fields.

Adding information

Properties tab

• DVU auto-fills many fields (e.g. Bill Freight terms and account number) based on information at the system, account, or carrier level.

• If COD, add the amount on the Small Parcel page.

• Click the Confirmation field and select an option (e.g. name, signature, etc.).

Email

Automatically send email notifications to parties based on specific triggers. Enter an email (normally for the consignee) for each event.

• Notification - The shipment is en route.

• Exceptions - The order was modified to complete the delivery.

• Delivery - The order was delivered.

Options

Specify the type of delivery for this small parcel.
