Build Kit

Use the Build tool to increase kit inventory. When a user builds new kits, DVU automatically adjusts component inventory.

Before you start

Make sure the kit components are in the same storage location. To build kits with inventory in different storage locations, use the Kitting work order tool.

Building kits

1. Go to Home > Warehouse > Kit Inventory.

2. Select a kit.

3. Click the Build Kit icon in the toolbar. A popup window displays.

In the popup window:

1. Select the storage location of the kit components.

2. Check the maximum buildable quantity.

3. Enter the quantity to build.

4. Click Build.

Possible error

If the popup window shows zero buildable quantity, confirm the required kit components (and quantities) are in the same storage location.
