Mapping attributes
To enable this advanced and optional feature, click Attribute Mapping on the side menu and complete these steps.

Enter a unique tag in the blank description field.
-
Click the next field and make sure the drop-down menu shows Cartonization Rule.

-
Click the plus
icon to add the mapping to the page.
-
Repeat the steps to add more mapping.
Tip Copy and save the Order Mapping Code tag to complete the Document Mapping steps (see below) and a later step (shipping order).
When complete, DVU displays each mapping as a row in the table.
-
To delete a row, select a mapping and click the Delete button.

To change a rule, click the Value field. Select an option on the drop-down menu and click Save Partner.
Mapping documents
Optionally, click Document Mapping on the side menu and complete these steps.
Settings on the Document Mapping page configure the platform to pull print documents into the cartonization process by adding the Order Mapping Code tag (created above).
Note To complete this task, DVU users need local access the print files. Talk to WDG support staff (support@wdgcorp.com) for assistance.
To map documents, complete these steps.
-
Click the top field and make sure the drop-down menu shows Order Mapping Code.
-
Enter the Order Mapping Code tag (see above) for this cartonization task.
-
Click the next field and select a print document type.
-
Click the upload icon to add the print file.
-
Repeat the steps to add more document mapping.
-
Click Save Partner.
In the screenshot below, the DVU user mapped three documents to the Order Mapping Code aa1 (pack similar items). When the user cartonizes a shipping order, it is possible to print these documents (Carton Content Label, Shipping Label, and BOL) before the packing work starts.
Optional step
The DVU user can also map the same set of documents to a different Order Mapping Code (e.g. aa2 to create mixed cartons). This is a time-saving step that allows the user to cartonize with a different rule and not return to the mapping pages.
Next step
Copy the Document Mapping code (created above). Then, open the shipping order and paste the code into the Mapping field.
