How to Adjust Inventory Unit Weight

There are two places on the platform to update the unit weight of an item.

Option 1

Update weight information on the Items/SKU page.

1. Open the Items/SKU page (Home > Warehouse> Items/SKU).

2. Double-click an item in the table.

3. Click the UOM link on the side menu.

4. Go to the Dimension column and update the value in the Gross LBS field.

5. Click Save.

New orders

Davinci uses the updated weight figure when a DVU user includes that item in a new shipping order, receiving order, or purchase order.

Existing orders

Davinci does not update an existing order (receiving or shipping) that was created with the original weight.

Option 2

DVU users can also update weights on the Inventory Detail page (via the Item Inventory page or Inventory By Location page).

1. Go to Home > Warehouse> Item Inventory or Home > Warehouse> Inventory By Location.

2. Double-click an item in the table.

3. On the Inventory Detail page, select the item row and click the Edit icon.

On the side panel, enter a new value in the Unit LBS field and then click Save.
