Min Charges and Rates
When a DVU user creates a shipment/load or pending quote and selects a Rate Tariff file, the platform dynamically checks the tariff table for the selected route. If the platform finds a matching route (based on a city to city or zip code to zip code), DVU pulls a rate from the tariff table.
-
If a table row has a figure for Min Charge and Rate, the platform pulls the higher figure.
-
If a table row has only one figure (Min Charge or Rate), the platform pulls that figure.
-
If the calculated rate (based on row figures from the table) is lower than the Absolute Minimum Charge on the General page, the platform uses the Absolute Minimum Charge.
Min charges can also apply when rates are calculated on the basis of cost per mile or CWT units.
-
Currently, the cost per mile option is not available.
-
Click here to learn how to calculate CWT rates.
Duplicate rows
If a table has multiple rows with the same Start-End points. Davinci pulls the rate from the first record in the list.
